Muntadab was a length ahead of George Bowen when winning over track and trip in October with Lincoln and Toofi further behind. But George Bowen didn’t get the best of runs and may well reverse running. Handsome Dude also won here in September when beating Intense Style but has been raised 6lb for scoring at Newcastle in February while the latter won here last summer with ECCLESTON third. David O’Meara’s charge went on to finish fourth in the Ayr Silver Cup and a repeat could see him thereabouts in this. Naggers is preferred of the Paul Midgley runners, Flying Pursuit makes more appeal than stablemate Kenny The Captain and Gunmetal should be a stronger sprinter this year.
