VELOSO is in great heart and can land the Doncaster finale; possibly at the main expense of Maraased and Chocolate Caramel. The last named has a bit to find with the selection but returns to turf on a handy mark. Admittedly it's been a while since he tasted success, so does need everything to go his way. Maraased, by way of contrast, is unexposed and thus open to improvement at the trip. He does need to step things up from his reappearance effort though. Followers of the 'Fallon factor' need to consider it's been 213 days since Twist Again saw racecourse action so her fitness has to be taken on trust. However, she has a likeable attitude and can go well for the former champion jockey. Nevertheless, Veloso has all the ticks in the right boxes and, having proved his effectiveness on grass, the Jeremy Glover-trained gelding is fancied to brush aside his rising handicap mark whilst his confidence is on such a high.
