In depth

Verdict

Harringay is a capable performer but invariably Henrietta Knight's mare tends to find at least one too good and she may have to settle for minor honours again here, with the vote going to In Accord who gets the verdict ahead of Top Cloud. The last mentioned disappointed in a handicap at Uttoxeter last month but Ferdy Murphy's gelding has claims on earlier form over fences so has to be respected. Peter Bowen's Contact Dancer deserves to win a race over fences having been placed in six of his 12 starts over the larger obstacles but he may have to settle for minor honours once more, while Alderman Rose needs to improve on all known form to trouble the judge. The vote then goes to Henry Daly's In Accord, who has run to a consistent level of form over fences and a reproduction of the pick of his form should suffice in this company.
