Kaliningrad was quite highly tried on debut in March and should be capable of better. James Reveley rides him rather than Flat-bred stablemate Nobody Knows but SAINT EX makes more appeal. Angelo Zuilani’s mount is a half-brother to a winning stayer on the Flat so should make a hurdler. His trainer also runs Hacker Des Places, who is worth a market check, but Morgenstern will probably need to improve on his form at Compiegne and was only a plater on the level.
