In depth

Verdict

Rogue Millennium travelled strongly and found plenty in the Group 2 Duke Of Cambridge when Grand Dame, who started favourite despite returning from a long break, was beaten almost seven lengths. The latter is undoubtedly better than that though REMARQUEE could prove best of the UK raiders. Ralph Beckett's filly couldn't contain Nashwa in the Falmouth but her one length second to Tahiyra in the Coronation Stakes was a superb effort. Jessica Harrington's Sounds Of Heaven was only a head behind in the Ascot Group 1 which was just her fourth race so she's entitled to make further progress. Andre Fabre's pair Life In Motion and Mqse De Sevigne have come nowhere near proving themselves at this level but Kelina should fly the flag for the home contingent. She had Sauterne a couple of lengths behind in the Group 2 Prix De Sandringham at Chantilly and looks certain to give a good account.
