      Verdict

      The application by the French racing authorities of an obscure ruling regarding entries has denied Snow Fairy a run and robbed the race of much of it's interest. In her absence, this should go to TIMEPIECE. She finished third over a mile here behind Goldikova last time, but stays this longer trip, and had Lily Of The Valley well behind when landing the Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket last month. The latter has struggled to find her best this season but her victory in last year's Prix De L'Opera gives her every chance if rediscovering her form. Announce is a Group 3 winner and in the same ownership as Timepiece, while it would be a big surprise if stablemates Divine Music and Fleur Enchantee are good enough.
