RECKLESS ABANDON went to Maison-Lafitte for the Group 2 Prix Robert Papin and was always in control, coming home over a length clear of Sir Prancealot with Snowday and Penny's Picnic, who had won their previous five races between them, occupying the minor places. The latter pair may not have be in the first division of French juveniles but they are very useful and the form looks strong. Marco Botti's Moohaajim made a god impression landing a maiden at Ascot but this is a massive step-up in grade as it is for the Ballydoyle pair George Vancouver and Parliament Square though the latter did land a Listed contest at Tipperary. Zenji also landed a Listed event last time and is progressing fast but it's Mazameer who heads the home challenge after his narrow but impressive victory over Baileys Jubilee over the C&D.
