UK and Irish raiders have enjoyed plenty of success in this over the years but a winner trained in the United States would be something of a novelty and No Nay Never looks to have leading claims. Now racing in the Coolmore colours, Wesley Ward's charge was an impressive winner of the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot in June when giving the impression this longer trip would suit. A stack of winners have come out of the race and he should go close but VORDA is just preferred. Philippe Sogorb's unbeaten filly won a Group 2 at Maisons-Laffitte last month beating Omaticaya, Vedeux and Muharaaj with Anticipated back in fifth. The latter has since found stablemate Brown Sugar too good in the Molecomb at Goodwood so the French filly looks to have every chance on form. Figure Of Speech has the beating of Jallota but needs more to figure in this as does the Queen Mary winner Rizeena.
