        Verdict

        Inspiral bids to repeat last year’s victory in this when beating Light Infantry and Erevann. But she wasn’t at her best on the soft ground at Goodwood last time and found Triple Time too good in the Queen Anne at Ascot before that. The latter is clearly an improved horse this year and is preferred to stablemate Hi Royal, who finished well behind Good Guess in the Prix Jean Prat over 7f here last month, but BIG ROCK makes most appeal. Christopher Head’s colt finished clear of French 2000 Guineas winner Marhaba Ya Sanafi when finding only the leading Arc fancy Ace Impact too good in the French Derby and today’s shorter trip and testing going will suit.
