Verdict

Mick Channon's youngsters have been in outstanding form all season and Certain Lad has contributed a couple of victories. He's taking a leap in class but wouldn't be travelling without high expectations. Highland Fortune made a promising start here before landing an auction event at Leopardstown in very good style while Invasion Day battled on nicely at Cork, though will need more here. Marie's Diamond travels from North Yorkshire after making all at Chester so he obviously has speed to burn but this looks another for Ballydoyle. VAN BEETHOVEN is the pick of Ryan Moore after finding the minimum too short in the Windsor Castle a week ago and he's just preferred to Land Force, a very good third in the Norfolk Stakes when also ridden by Moore.
