In depth

Verdict

The three-year-old SILVERKODE came here for a handicap here earlier this month and finished powerfully to beat Severus, who has won a better race subsequently, with today's rivals Plough Boy and Elusive Time just behind. A 4lb rise doesn't look excessive and Joe Murphy's progressive charge should again take care of those who finished behind, especially as the latter has gone up 5lb for an easy victory at Leopardstown. Dandys Gold has been running very well and Dylan Hogan is very good value for his claim while Fior Cliste might just have been undone by softer conditions under a penalty at Leopardstown.
