This has been a tremendous race for UK raiders who have won seven of the last eleven. David Lanigan sends Worth Waiting and she advertised her claims with a victory in the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket, especially as the trip will have been on the short side. WILD ILLUSION (NAP) has run twice over this trip and been beaten into second both times, in last year's Epsom Oaks and the Ribblesdale behind Magic Wand, who she then beat easily in the Prix de L'Opera. Beaten a neck in the Breeders' Cup Filly and Mare Turf, she needed her comeback at Longchamp and looks the one to be on. Pink Dogwood is an obvious threat after her run in the Oaks where she looked certain to win when taking the lead in the final furlong. She was outstayed by Anapurna in a slowly-run race and with the pace likely to be fast here may have to settle for a place again.
