In depth

Verdict

Last year's winner MAGICAL won two further Group 1's before the season ended and reappeared with an impressive victory in the Pretty Polly here. She faces some useful rivals including stable companions Sir Dragonet and Armory but is unlikely to be troubled in landing her sixth course victory before heading for more Group 1 glory. The former was beaten by the progressive Buckhurst in a Group 3 here last month and Joseph O'Brien's charge may prove the main threat as Irish St Leger winner Search For A Song needs further. He was beaten a long way behind Leo De Fury in the Group 2 Mooresbride over the track and trip last month and the winner should give a good account.
