In depth

Verdict

Several of these have run in Dundalk barrier trials including NAVAGIO, who then went on to make a fine debut at Cork when staying on over 7f, just behind subsequent winner Aikhal. Good Heavens showed the benefit of a promising effort at Gowran with an excellent run behind Bluegrass over this track and trip while there are several very well-connected newcomers entered. Montenegro is by Camelot out of a 1m4f winner and is engaged in the Group 1 Futurity as is Sissoko, who is related to numerous winners. The latter was withdrawn from a race at Gowran last week after overnight rain while Married In A Fever is by Camelot out of a mare who has produced winners with half of her 16 foals including a Grade 1 winner in the USA.
