Verdict

Finn McCool started a short-priced favourite on his debut at Leopardstown but was well beaten then finished last in the Group 1 National Stakes here. His stablemate The Eagle cost 350,000gns and is by Oasis Dream out of a 1m4f Listed winner. Jim Bolger also runs two and Kevin Manning's presence suggests TREATY OF VIENNA, by New Approach out of a 7f Listed winner, is the stable pick over the once-raced Vociferous Marina and he's taken to make a successful debut. Liberatio didn't get the run of the race on his debut over the course and distance last month but still showed promise and looks best of Michael Halford's pair.
