A very tough finish to a great day's racing. Colour Blue won the event last year from 1lb lower and has run some good races in defeat subsequently. Her trainer also runs DOLCE STREGA and she looks to have more of a chance this time. A Group 3 winner on soft ground here early last month, she went to Ascot for the Sandringham Handicap over a mile but never really got involved and should find this more to her liking. Joe Murphy's horses are in top form so Fairyhouse winner Flying Fairies is respected though that victory was on fast going. Camile is 4lb out of the handicap and stayed on strongly over a mile last time while Midnitemudcrabs has been raised a massive 14lb for her easy victory on soft ground at Gowran on Sunday. Suvenna is up the same amount for carrying a huge weight to victory in a Listowel handicap but she's improving fast and has to be on the shortlist.
