Eddie Lynam won this last year and the presence of Pat Smullen on board Viztoria looks significant as he rode her when twice placed behind Slade Power, though not when she finished well behind Garswood at Deauville in August. The combination will prove difficult to beat but FLIGHT RISK is the new kid on the block in sprinting and it's time he was winning. Jim Bolger's colt was having just his second start when a close fourth in a Group Three over the track and trip in August then made the much more experienced Caspian Prince pull out all the stops over 5f at Dundalk where he was staying on strongly. Russian Soul can generally be relied on to run his race though he has a penalty for his victory at Meydan in February while Great Minds certainly deserves a crack at this level after landing two tough handicaps over the course and distance in the spring.
