Verdict

Aidan O'Brien has three entries here. UTAH finished sixth behind his much heralded stable companion Douglas Macarthur at Leopardstown where he didn't get the best of runs. He'll improve massively for the run and is taken to reverse form with fourth-placed Gino Severini, who kept battling on after looking outpaced. The Anvil, who is related to four winners, and Yucatan, a son of Galileo out of the brilliant Six Perfections, are Ballydoyle newcomers to watch out for. Jim Bolger's horses are flying so the Teofilo newcomer Dubai Sand is one to note as is Dermot Weld's Shamad, who is out of a mare who won over this trip as a two-year-old.
