Verdict

ALABAMA started favourite for his debut over 5f at Cork in April but never got going on the heavy ground until staying on late. He should be a different proposition here and will take the beating. His stable also run Mountain Bear, a half-brother to five winners, and The Liffey, whose dam has produced winners with her first two foals. Mythology is also Coolmore-owned having been purchased for 320,000gns at the Craven Breeze-up so he must have been very impressive. Valiant Force was narrowly beaten in a Listed race over the minimum here and led for a long way when stepped up to this trip on a return visit so will take some catching. Branding is another to note in what looks an informative contest.
