Verdict

Storm Mahler showed his first sign of ability when stepped up to three miles at Clonmel where a mistake two out didn't help his cause. Crowsatedappletart's second to Shean Glory at Clonmel puts him in the frame and he didn't take to chasing back there three weeks ago. Plain Or Battered made much of the running before fading from the last over three miles at Leopardstown so enters the equation as does A Dublin Job, who ran well in handicaps over three miles in October. MIGHTY JEREMY was returning from a very long break when a good fourth at Fairyhouse in January and is on a low enough mark to take this. Astrophysicist has never won in 13 starts over timber though ran very well when sent to Hereford last month.
