Verdict

DOUGAL PHILPS showed nothing on his first two starts over timber but it was a different matter at Tramore recently when he led until collared close home. The remainder were a long way behind and with further progress likely he'll take some catching. Spot The Pro has come up against some decent performers and never been disgraced so he should get into the argument and winning point-to-pointer Never Complain will be better for his hurdling debut at Thurles in January where he showed plenty of potential. Rightville Boy was probably lucky to score between the flags at Askeaton when the leader fell at the last.
