In depth

Verdict

Mystic Desir started off very well after arriving from France and his opening second to Lyreen Legend at Naas would be good enough but he hasn't progressed as expected, though has been racing over longer trips. Stablemate Johnnys Legacy ran poorly in his two starts over timber in December but he's been in much better form on the Flat recently and looks ready to do much better. TENNIS CAP is another who has been a little disappointing after a cracking debut for Willie Mullins behind Monksland at Navan. He's been a short-priced beaten favourite on his last three starts but hasn't been beaten far and can gain consolation. Dara Tango, a dual winner on the Flat in France, hasn't shown much in three starts for Tony Martin but was well supported at Naas last time while winning point-to-pointer Tabhachtach has floundered in heavy going on his last two starts and today's conditions could bring about some improvement.
