Verdict

This isn't the strongest of races and Fernhurst Lad, who has been racing in better company, will be fancied to open his account over regulation fences. Sheer Genius is bred to be a staying chaser so he did well to score over hurdles and this should be his game but it's the four-year-old WESTHAVEN who is given the nod with his allowances. Noel Meade's charge hardly has the pedigree for jumping but did well enough over hurdles and will have benefited from the experience gained behind Jenari at Naas where he found the minimum trip much too short. Mini Vic only got as far as the first on her second start over fences at Clonmel but had shown enough on her debut at Tramore to suggest she's worth a market check.
