Alhaajeb defied a 20/1 SP to score at Gowran last week for which he's been raised 8lb while Leabaland was an even bigger price when landing the second division of that same event for which he's up 7lb. Persian Wolf was beaten just over a length in the latter event and has a chance to turn the tables on these terms. John McConnell's horses are in top form so the lack of a recent run isn't too much of a concern for Fennor Cross, though his last three runs in the autumn came on soft ground. Pride Of Pimlico is running well but is still 7lb higher than his last winning mark. EDGE OF MY SEAT had shown little before a much-improved run over a mile at Gowran where he was staying on so he may be worth an each-way investment in an open finale.
