In depth

Verdict

Shield won a Leopardstown bumper in March and ran well on the Flat at the Curragh last month. Blow The Doors Off landed a Sligo bumper in May and there was plenty to like about his first start over hurdles at Galway last month when runner-up to Very Wood. Valmy Baie has already had four runs over timber in France and has joined Gordon Elliott after an excellent second at Enghien in February. Valseur Lido landed a bumper in France a year ago over 1m4f and will be much better suited by this stiffer test while Katie T should go well after a decent effort here a fortnight ago. VOLUPTUEUX showed the benefit of his opening run when well supported in a bumper at Limerick and coming home in fine style. He's given the nod in a race that should produce plenty of future winners.
