Verdict

Goldwyn was a 66/1 chance at Navan but was only beaten a length into third, though that was on heavy ground. GRAND SOIR followed an impressive victory between the flags with a good run on his bumper debut at Limerick and can go one better even though Patricks Hill followed a very good effort over timber last summer with a close second in a Sligo bumper and the winner made a successful hurdling debut next time. Suain Na Draoicht showed improved form when runner-up at Clonmel but the main threat could come from Hartur D'arc, a very easy winner between the flags before a good sixth in a strong Navan bumper in January
