Verdict

Montys Meadow won here in December then finished runner-up in a very strong event at Gowran. He hasn't been seen since beaten a long way by Milsean over 2m3f at Limerick on heavy going in March and the weight he has to give away to the four-year-olds won't help. CAPTAIN CAROL was just touched off at Roscommon before making all at Wexford where there looked plenty more to come. David Mullins can steer her home ahead of stablemate Rio Treasure, who found a sedate pace against her at Galway after a comfortable victory at Listowel. The newcomers have plenty to do against the three winners though Shrewdoperator is a half-brother to five winners.
