MAX'S DANDY arrives with a 6lb penalty for Saturday's victory at Limerick when brought with a well-timed run over 7f on heavy ground to catch today's rival Gregory's Gift, who had led inside the final furlong. He's been dropped 2lb for this so is only 4lb worse off and the longer trip looks certain to suit. Waterville Lady couldn't get close to the well-handicapped Dreal Deal on that same Limerick card and that was over 1m3f so it's a surprise to see her dropping to this trip. Starting Monday has been running well on testing ground and was going on at the finish over an extended 7f at Tipperary. Power Of Lazarus went close on very testing ground at Killarney and didn't get the run of the race at Tipperary and Colin Keane is a significant booking.
