Verdict

Winning point-to-pointer Dranagold is a likely improver though probably over further but all known form points to this being a match between Spot Fine and FAIRVIEW STAR. The former ran a fine race behind Shamar over the course and distance in May and is suited by quicker ground than he found at Clonmel last time but it's the latter who gets the vote. He scored on the Flat in April and May and returned to form over hurdles with a very good effort behind Giant's Quest on fast ground at Gowran.
