Verdict

Carpet Elegance landed a Down Royal handicap in May and has had a couple of runs on the Flat subsequently but an 8lb rise takes him onto his highest ever mark. Rising Altitude was in very good form at this time a year ago but hasn't run since well beaten over fences in October. Andiamos has now had 18 starts without winning and was beaten a distance at Downpatrick while winning bumper B L Swagger seems high in the weights on what he's achieved over jumps. PORTRADE arrives in winning form having just held on over a slightly longer trip at Bellewstown last weekend for which he's been raised 9lb. The runner-up won very easily a couple of days later so the form looks strong enough for this and Ger Fox' claim is a major bonus.
