Chatham Street Lad has run here twice and won both times, including last month when storming to victory in a handicap. He's up 10lb and this is tougher, especially as he's stepping up in trip unlike Allez Kal, who defied a long break and a last-flight error to score over the track and trip in November. The latter should get competitive again and take care of Rooster Byron, who was chasing a four-timer but couldn't get close and has since unseated his rider over fences. Western Honour, twice runner-up over the minimum, showed that this is his trip when landing a Clonmel maiden and didn't quite get the run of the race when a close third over 2m7f at Thurles. DROMORE LAD completed a hat-trick around this time a year ago, beating Allez Kal six lengths when conceding 13lb at Fairyhouse. He reappeared after a long absence with an excellent run at Navan and, with more progress likely, looks the one to beat. Kellyiscool is generally well supported and makes a quick reappearance after slipping up at Tramore on New Year's Day.
