Verdict

The Names Jock has won on the Flat here and also scored at Leopardstown in May before a fine run when second to Zoffanien over this trip at Killarney under today's rider. Scalor has only won once in 29 starts but had been running well on the Flat before a very good effort back over hurdles at Kilbeggan. Little Big Rocky showed only moderate form in maidens but it was a different matter on his handicap debut at Killarney where he was always travelling and won with plenty in hand. The assessor has reacted with a massive 14lb rise which may hand the initiative to GOLF MARIN, who started favourite for a handicap at Galway last week and didn't get the best of runs before beaten narrowly into fourth.
