PALM RIDGE, Purple Land and Slade have all had their chances but are running well enough to gain their first successes soon. The former is just about the least exposed of the trio and there was plenty to like about his close second to the useful Wade Giles at the Curragh last time. Purple Land again ran well at The Festival during the week but may have to settle for a place again but Slade disappointed at Bellewstown and has something to find. If there's to be a surprise it could be provided by A Mind Of Her Own, who showed real promise on her first two starts last season but has a long absence to overcome.
