Henry De Bromhead won this last year and SIMIEL can follow suit. Twice runner-up in bumpers last summer, he was making his debut over timber and returning from a long break when a very good third at Tramore a fortnight ago and, with that under his belt and the longer trip in his favour, he can get on the scoreboard. Racing Again wasn't too far behind in that latter event and was having his first start since October while Phar Island has been finding very testing ground against him and should do better in more suitable conditions. Munstead Pride scored at Southwell for Andrew Balding a year ago and though well beaten over timber so far will find this longer trip much more to his liking.
