In depth

Verdict

Goody Rover won a maiden here in 2020 before an easy handicap victory at Down Royal and will have needed last month's return to action. West Cork Wildway won over fences a year ago and ran a fine race on the Flat at Listowel in September. CLIFTON WARRIOR just gets the nod as he was in very good form last winter and looks best of Henry De Bromhead's pair while the consistent Blanketontheground bumped into a well handicapped winner at Galway. Vischio has won twice on the Flat this year and easily landed a Tramore handicap hurdle in August though has a 9lb rise to contend with. Pythion has been chasing and his form is on quicker ground but the four-year-old Doctor Churchill has been racing in stronger company.
