VIGIL has never really fulfilled his huge potential though he's still managed to win four of his ten races. Having beaten Bellshill in a Leopardstown bumper two years ago his only subsequent victories have been in a Naas maiden hurdle and on the Flat at Navan last month. This should be his for the taking though Miss Me Now, a very easy winner on her hurdling debut at Limerick in March, was thought good enough to run in the Grade 1 Mares' Novice Hurdle Final at Fairyhouse in March though she pulled up. The four-year-old Sanibel Island is a very progressive young hurdler who deserves a crack at this higher level after defying interference at Wexford while Beyond The Obvious made a successful hurdling debut at Navan in March when making all for a very impressive victory.
