Verdict

COOLDINE BOG is only a speculative selection as he was due to run in a much better race at Fairyhouse yesterday. He'd earlier beaten a big field of handicappers at Cork so yesterday's result should be monitored. Time For Mabel was tackling this trip for the first time when scoring here two weeks ago where he appeared to have a bit in hand. He's a realistic alternative if the selection doesn't appear. Winning bumper Thermistocles has shown plenty of ability and makes his handicap debut on what could prove a fair mark while Massini's Trap, a winner on the Flat in August, has performed in better company over timber and won off a higher mark. Dorans River gained an impressive victory over this trip at Bellewstown but went up 8lb and has failed to complete in his last two starts over fences.
