SAMANNTOM won over fences at Tipperary in October and, after a run over hurdles, returned to chasing with a close-up fifth at Leopardstown. He’s been left on the same mark but this looks less competitive. Blackwater Bridge stayed on late over this trip at Navan 12 days ago but that was the first time he’d managed a place over the larger obstacles in eight attempts. Fluspar shot up the weights after winning at Tramore in December and couldn’t cope on a return visit to that track.
