Verdict

The previous six renewals haven't produced a winning favourite but BOXER GEORG can halt the trend. Willie Mullins' charge was a brilliant runner-up to Baby Run in the Fox Hunters' at Aintree last year and anything like that form would easily be good enough for this. The lightly-raced No Notions made his debut at this level a year ago and ran well behind Good Egg so with progress likely he could prove a threat along with Mountain Lough, who has been in good form between the flags. Embracing Change has the bonus of Derek O'Connor in the saddle and he won at Kilfeacle a couple of weeks ago though his overall form can't match that of the selection.
