Verdict

VIVA RONALDO looks the safest option in a wide-open race. He scored over C&D last month and will be able to sit just off the pace once again from a similar low draw and confirm running with runner-up Suffolk Punch. Sunrise Safari and Kingscroft should both figure and the latter can reverse earlier running here on better terms with Fred Willetts, while Major Conquest is not without a chance. Captain Remus and Rigolleto have claims on form but have been compromised by unfavourably high draws.
