Change Course, Pearl and Balliasta form the shortlist in this maiden and the nomination is given to Change Course. Sir Michael Stoute's filly makes plenty of appeal here as she finished fifth behind Angel Kate at Sandown last time and she was doing her best work at the finish. That was an improvement on her debut and she is clearly going the right way and from a fair draw she should go well. Pearl ran really well last time at Haydock , but that over 1m2f so this drop in trip looks a real negative for her on this turning track. Balliasta finished in mid-division in a handicap at Haydock last time but this filly should handle the cut in the ground and in this less competitive affair she can go well from a good draw. The stable also have a good record at this track so a watching brief on the market is advised as that could indicate whether she is fancied to go in. Idun is another to note in the market on her racecourse debut, although Peter Chapple-Hyam's stable have been going through a lean patch and with this in mind she is probably worth opposing. However, Change Course looks the most likely winner here and she is our pick.
