There is plenty of pace on here and it is sure to be a furiously run affair. However, Connect is marginally preferred to the well handicapped Time N Time Again and last year's winner Sir Sandrovitch, who is also well treated despite carrying 6lb extra as he bids to land his third win in less than a week. However, he needs everything to drop just right for him and is reluctantly passed over today. But Connect, who goes really well at this course, could have the race run to suit with the speedy Roses Of Spring on his inside for company. The Mark Tompkins-trained six-year-old does have a 4lb higher mark to overcome after landing a valuable handicap at York last time out. But can reverse recent form with Dubaian Gift on this faster ground. Veta Spericolata would also have to be feared but, like Dubaian Gift, has plenty on at the weights from a high draw. Therefore, Connect just edges the vote today.
