MARCRET (NAP) won here last September before finishing fifth in this race. He's following the same pattern having completed a double in the same race two weeks ago and his excellent record on the track suggests he can overcome a 6lb rise with his young rider's claim halving the impost. Royal Seal hasn't been beaten far in slightly better company but remains 8lb higher than her last success. Evanescent is rarely beaten far at this sort of level and Rob Hornby's claim is a major plus while Deauville Prince loves it around here, despite unseating his rider last time. The latter has a good draw and could prove the main threat to the top weight.
