Sir Maximilian was due to run here last night but would have obvious claims if taking his chance. Dark Shot is well drawn and goes on the shortlist but this contest is chock full of front-runners including Musselburgh third Militia and Recon Mission, who ran well in the Epsom Dash and is better drawn here. David Allan may have to wait for the gaps aboard SPOOF but Charlie Hills’ six-year-old can pick these off in the closing stages granted luck in-running.
