Mark Johnston has won two of the last four renewals but Triple Dip was a disappointing favourite over a longer trip at Beverley last time. SERENE BEAUTY (NAP) makes more appeal as she was narrowly beaten at Haydock on her handicap debut when six lengths clear of the rest. That looks stronger form than Shasag's victory in a maiden at Wolverhampton and the Godolphin filly gets the vote. Polar Eyes finished closer when fourth over track and trip last month and is preferred to the returning pair Some Site and Rainbow Beauty but Belle Travers is probably capable of better than she showed on her reappearance at Pontefract.
Polar Eyes 11-1 (8-13) Slowly away, mid-division, challenged over 3f out, every chance over 1f out, no extra inside final furlong, 4th of 10, 2 1/4l behind Mica Mika (8-12) at Chester 1m 2f hcp 0-90 (3) sft in May.
Rainbow Beauty 4-1 (9-0) Slowly away in rear, ridden and headway on outer over 1f out, every chance inside final furlong, just held, 2nd of 8, shd behind If I Were A Boy (8-13) at Windsor 1m 2f fll hcp (0-75) (5) gs in Aug.
Serene Beauty (USA) 12-1 (9-4) Keen, tracked leaders, ridden and unable to quicken over 1f out, ran on strongly final furlong, just failed, 2nd of 11, shd behind Jumeirah Glory (9-5) at Haydock 1m 2f 3yo hcp 0-80 (4) gs in May.
Shasag (IRE) 8-1 (8-5) Mid-division, headway over 3f out, led over 1f out, ran on well, readily, won at Wolverhampton 1m 1f mdn fll (5) in Jan beating La Dorotea (8-5) by 1 3/4l, 11 ran.
