Cotillion, Bollin Felix and Comedy Act have all won over hurdles during the winter, while Sir Boss and Accumulate have both been in good form on the all-weather. Plato won at Newmarket in August and it's entirely possible that he'll improve further this year. He makes more appeal than Regal Park, who may be in the handicapper's grip now. Porgy can't be ignored and Dazzling Light should be approaching peak fitness now, but Jim Goldie's mare finished behind English Summer and BOWDLER'S MAGIC at York last time and may struggle to turn the tables here. Joe Fanning's mount was doing his best work at the finish over the 1m4f trip that day and will appreciate the extra here - he gets the vote.
