    Verdict

DISTAIN confirmed the promise of her debut at Ascot with a convincing success at Redcar and Lady Cecil's filly appears to have been handed a sensible mark to work from on her handicap debut. Moruadh was friendless in the market ahead of her victory at Leicester, and with the runner-up getting turned over in the interim, there is likely to be opposition to Sir Michael Stoute's filly again. The assessor has had plenty of chance to assess Chadic and he seems sure to give another good account. Akavit has progressed some 32lb up the handicap since the start of the season and Ed de Giles' gelding looks the obvious pace angle in the field.
