went right start, made all, ridden out
bumped start, in touch, ridden over 1f out, not trouble leaders
tracked leaders, ridden to chase winner 2f out, kept on one pace
raced wide close up, ridden 2f out, kept on same pace
tracked winner until ridden 2f out, soon weakened
went right start, close up, ridden and headway over 1f out, one pace final furlong
Five Helmets is the only one to have raced in a handicap before and he steps up in trip after a fourth at Haydock. Lady Lavinia won a seller at Redcar last time and this is tougher while Revich is preferred to both Firewater and Yellow Fire after a series of placed efforts in novice company. But JAAYIZ (NAP) produced a late surge to win a novices’ race over 6f at Brighton last month with a subsequent winner back in third and Richard Hannon’s colt may come out best once again with the longer trip looking sure to suit.
