Sea Of Heaven and Golden Spear will need to jostle for a good early position in the race from their respective wide draws. The former finished ahead of the latter when third in the Cesarewitch in October and Golden Spear went on to beat last year’s runner-up, Nakeeta, at Leopardstown. First Mohican was second in the Cesarewitch from a high draw but stablemate Who Dares Wins is preferred back in this code having finished third in the Coral Cup at Cheltenham last time. Watersmeet has been in fine form on the all-weather and makes more appeal than stable companions Yorkidding and the reserve Isharah while The Cashel Man is usually thereabouts without winning. Suegioo won this in 2014 off a 9lb lower mark but Richard Fahey’s other runner Angel Gabrial has slipped down the weights since well beaten in last year’s renewal. A progressive three-year-old, BLAKENEY POINT made a winning return at Kempton last month with Magic Circle well beaten having won over 2m here in September. There looks more to come from him and Roger Charlton’s charge can go close.
