In depth

Verdict

Group One Power won at Epsom earlier and placed on the all-weather recently. Snow Ocean went close over a longer trip here in May and has a shout but WHITEHAVEN will be sharper for last month’s reappearance. The latter ended last year with a hat-trick of victories in testing ground and may well be thereabouts at the finish. There was little between runner-up Dash Of Spice and He's A Keeper at Pontefract though neither threatened the winner while both Restorer and Sam Cooke have won here in the past.
